Traditionally considered a blessed symbol of the Goddess Uma or Parvati, a bindi (also known as kumkum, mangalya, tilak, sindhoor and other names) signifies female creative energy (Shakti) and is believed to protect women and their husbands. Traditionally a symbol of marriage, it has now become a decorative item and is worn today by unmarried girls and women of other religions as well.

No longer restricted in color or shape, bindis today are seen in many colors and designs and are manufactured with self-adhesives and felt.
We cannot guarantee to have in stock a particular design, but you can rest asured that any of the bindis we carry are beautiful! Most bindis are Santosh brand.

A packet contains between 8 (long shapes) and 28 bindis (small dots), depending on size. Choose either multicolor or single color. You can always add your comments or instructions during checkout and we will do our best to match what you want.
