This is the Ayurvedic version of traditional Masala Chai, the popular spicy Indian tea. This Himalayan Chai Spice Blend has been formulated with the traditional spices used in Masala Chai, but with special medicinal considerations so as to help balance out the Vata aggravating effects of black tea, according to Ayurvedic principles.

Add 1/2 tsp. of Himalayan Chai Spice and 1 tsp. black tea (Darjeeling or Assam) to 1 cup water and bring to a boil. Add 1 cup of milk, bring to a boil again, strain and sweeten as desired.
Ingredients: Cardamom, Ginger, Black Pepper, Clove, Nutmeg, Anise.
