| Yoga & Ayurveda - Yoga Paths |
Ayurveda and yoga are sister sciences born from the ancient philosophical and spiritual traditions of India. Both sciences are closely related in their concepts and complement each other. Knowledge of both can certainly enrich your life and bring you health and balance in a more holistic manner.
Yoga means 'union' with the Divine. Hatha yoga, the aspect of yoga that deals with asanas (postures) is only one component of the yoga system. There are many yoga paths, yet the ultimate goal of all is the union, or rather re-union, with our divine nature. In other words, what we call Liberation, Self-realization, or Enlightenment, which can only be achieved through deep states of meditation or devotion.
